Founded as Canadian Good Roads Association (CGRA), changed its name to Roads and Transportation Association of Canada (RTAC) in 1970 and assumed its present name in 1990. TAC is a not-for-profit, membership-based association that provides a neutral forum to exchange ideas and information on technical guidelines and best practices related to the Canadian transportation and roadways sectors.
