Established as the National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations, assumed its present name in 1970. NFHS mission is to serve its members, related professional organizations and students by providing leadership for the administration of education-based interscholastic activities, which support academic achievement, good citizenship and equitable opportunities. Membership: $20 (Speech, Debate and Theatre Directors); $35 (Individual/School/Group/Officials).
