National Association of Independent Schools

The result of a merger in 1962 of the National Council of Independent Schools and the Independent Schools Education Board. Represents independent schools and associations in the United States, and affiliates with independent schools abroad as well. NAIS's mission is serve the independent schools and the center for collective action on their behalf. Members are independent elementary and secondary schools, K-12, day, boarding and a combination of both. Membership: $14.94 (Student); $7.47 (School).
