IABCU incorporated as the Southern Association of Baptist Colleges and Schools in 1949, changed its name to the Association of Southern Baptist Colleges and Schools and assumed its current name in 2006. IABCU mission is to help students find the right school and find the resources needed to make education possible. Members are presidents and chief academic officials of Baptist colleges, universities, Bible schools and academies.
