Deep Sea Fishermen’s Union of the Pacific was created by workingmen on Seattle’s waterfront who sought eminently practical goals, higher wages and safer working conditions, referred as Deep Sea Fishermen’s Union. It is a labor union that represents the interests of commercial longline Halibut and Sablefish fishermen. It's is to promote public policy from the fixed gear fishermen points of view as it seek to facilitate the intelligent, orderly and sustainable harvest of Halibut, Sablefish, and other ground fish in the North Pacific. Membership: $600 (Hired Skipper/Full).
