Association of Art Museum Directors
The purpose of AAMD is to support its members in increasing the contribution of art museums to society. Membership consists of persons who serve as directors of art museums in the United States, Canada, and Mexico which, by purpose, size, and standards of operation meet the eligibility requirements established by the Trustees of the Association. Membership in the association is based on the qualifications of both the individual director and the specific art museum and no museum may be represented by more than one individual.
