American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
Founded as American Association of Marriage Counselors, became American Association of Marriage and Family Counselors in 1970 and assumed its present name in 1978. AAMFT represents the professional interests of marriage and family therapists throughout the United States, Canada and abroad. Members are clinical therapists specially trained to conduct marriage and family therapy with individuals, couples and families. Membership Fee: $99-$216 (Professional, plus $25 Application dues); $99 (Student, plus $25 Application dues); $161 (Affiliate, plus division dues).
