American Association for Laboratory Animal Science
Incorporated in Illinois in 1953 as the Animal Care Panel. Assumed its present name in 1966. AALAS is an association of professionals that advances responsible laboratory animal care and use to benefit people and animals. Members are individuals professionally concerned with the production, care and study of laboratory animals.
